I had an amazing time documenting Erin and Brent's nuptials under the dome of San Francisco City Hall. Surrounded by family and friends, they both had an unforgettable ceremony.
I had a great time photographing some of the ladies of Manuia. I wanted to try a little something different and incorporate some off camera lighting to really separate them from their environment. The ladies brought a lot of Polynesian flair and color to gray San Francisco. I love the contrast. Shout out to Karl the Fog for some diffused lighting.
It was so good to see Lenora and Jesse. Last time we all saw each other it was for their engagement session. Their wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful and serene Redwood Grove in the University of California Botanical Gardens at Berkeley, with the bride and groom quite literally encircled by their friends and family. Festivities continued through the night at Maple Hall in San Pablo.
Shauna is a self-proclaimed nerd, hip-hop head, jock, and yogi. A graduate of Stanford, UCLA and Johns Hopkins, she simultaneously pursued academics and fitness and ultimately.secured a sponsorship with Under Armour® shortly after finishing her PhD in Public Health.
Shauna teaches classes across the Bay Area that fuse her varied background and love for hip hop. In addition to Under Armour®, Shauna partners with TRX®, Zico Coconut Water®, Designer Protein® and is Lifestyle Athlete for Zenrez. She is a contributing writer for MindBodyGreen, Yoga Digest, The Body Department, and My Fit Station and runs the #SweatADay challenge on Instagram, which she created.
