Golden Gate Bridge - Kodak Tri-X 400

I love the fact I can retrofit Sony A-Mount SSM autofocus lenses, on one of the most fun AF film SLR’s, the Minolta α-7. Shooting film gives that feeling of anxiety, anticipation, and rewarding joy especially when your roll of film is exposed and composed correctly. Film always brings me back to why I loved photography in the first place.

Chase, Kait & Jagger

I had such a fun time photographing these three. I don’t often shoot family photos, but I had to make an exception for this warm, gracious, and absolutely hilarious family. Check out Chase’s instagram to catch up on what he’s up to. The guy is a great hybrid photographer/videographer (ahem with the Sony Alphas ahem), not to mention he can shag a few infield liners on the baseball field. Good times hanging out with these guys, and I hope we get to do it again, soon.

Manuia Polynesian Revue

I had a great time photographing some of the ladies of Manuia. I wanted to try a little something different and incorporate some off camera lighting to really separate them from their environment. The ladies brought a lot of Polynesian flair and color to gray San Francisco. I love the contrast. Shout out to Karl the Fog for some diffused lighting.
